On October 5th I went to Chicago for an event my company was hosting and that I planned with my co-worker Kristin. It was a really quick trip but thanks to my co-worker Erika from our Chicago office we were able to see a lot of great things in Chicago. I had an AMAZING steak at Hugo's Frog Bar on Rush Street, deep dish pizza at Pizzaria Unos, and a delicious breakfast at the Bongo Cafe. The Blackstone Hotel where we stayed and hosted the event was beautiful. I will definitely be returning with the hubby to see the bean! Our descent into Chicago:
Our hotel room - very nice
The view of Lake Michigan from our room
Hugo's Frog Bar - a delicious steak!
The view from the John Hancock building was breathtaking
We were on the 95th floor
After dinner and drinks it was time to find a cab home!
Running around the city
It is beautiful at night
Scott and I braving the wind - it is not called the windy city for nothing!
Yay Starbucks! Kristin said I fit right in with the college students
The Art Institute
This picture reminds me of ER
Pretty
Kristin & I out and about
This looks like the WB back lot where Chris works
The Trump Tower
The Chicago Tribune
We were told the best deep dish is at Pizzaria Uno
Great Chicago decor
Here was my delicious pizza - Chris wasn't sharing so that meant I got to have olives!
all gone! well almost
Our beautiful Chicago office
They have an amazing view!

This is the event we planned - a dessert reception in The Art Hall

The walls had artwork from the nearby Columbia College

The adjoining room had weird hand sculptures. At 1am they are very funny
